Biography

Founded in 2008, the “Midnight Saxophone Quartet” consists of musicians with experience both in Italy and abroad.

The musicians of the Midnight Saxophone Quartet are Stefano Boverio (soprano), Gaetano Pappalardo (alto), Paolo D’Aloisio (tenor) and Jacopo Morini (baritone).

Since its debut, it has been immediately appreciated on numerous occasions promoted by several organizations, having the opportunity to participate in important events such as “Notte Bianca” and “European Music Day” (Pavia, PV), 20th Edition of the “Borghi e Valli” Festival (Lungavilla, PV), 7th Edition of the Festival “Musica intorno al Pizzo d’Evigno” (Stellanello, SV), 10th Edition of the “Festival dei Fiati” (Novara, NO), 4th International Festival of Classical Music “Appunti Sonori” (Taggia, IM) and many others.

Midnight Saxophone Quartet collaborates with several musicians and composers, for example Lamberto Curtoni (cellist and composer of whom Midnight Saxophone Quartet played for the first time dal vivo the quartet “Studio per un equatore”), Marco Reghezza (composer who dedicated to the Midnight Saxophone Quartet his work “Serenata a Midnight”), Carmelo Emanuele Patti (violinist and composer of whom Midnight Saxophone Quartet recorded “Sleep Rough”, “Obsession” and “Lullaby for an inconsolable pessimist”), Moshen Kuschkie (Iranian composer who dedicated to the Midnight Saxophone Quartet his work “Rectangular”) and Giovanni Albini (guitarist and composer who dedicated to the Midnight Saxophone Quartet his work “Königsberg quartet”).
