Paolo D’Aloisio

Born in Sanremo in 1989, he graduated in saxophone at the “F. Vittadini” Music Institute of Pavia in 2014. From 2014 to 2016 he attended the master’s degree at the same institute and graduated with honors.

Since 2010 he has been one of the four members of the “Midnight Saxophone Quartet” which participates in numerous national and international festivals. In 2017 the quartet toured Japan performing in city theaters like Nagoya, Toyohashi and Higashiura. In Japan they had the chance to meet the world famous saxophonist NobuyaSugawa who attended a specialization course for them. In 2018 they released their first cd “Serenata a Midnight” published by “Casa Musicale Eco”.

He also specialized  in  jazz music, creating his personal and unique style of musical language.

He arrived at the finals of the Umbria Jazz music contest “Conad Jazz Contest 2016” with the group “Punti Critici”.

He attended numerous workshops and master classes: Chioggia Summer Jazz Workshop (VE), saxophonist Max Ionata Masterclass (2017), saxophonist Hector Costita masterclass (2018), “Musica Senza Confini” contemporary music improvisation workshop (pv).

Frontman from 2009 to 2015 of “Attention Slap”, a prog-rock band that has released two EPs and a CD.

He also performed in other bands like: Terlingo-Sacchi Blues Band, Jlee Acoustic Pop-Jazz Trio, Red Cat Swing Kids Big Band, West Project Orchestra and Trasfigurazioni for Harp and Sax.

He has collaborated with numerous artists: the Canadian Singer songwriter Bocephus King,  Ligurian organist Giorgio Revelli, indie-pop band News for Lulu.

He has also played in numerous orchestras: La Verdi per Tutti, performing at the Milan Auditorium and the Soncino Wind Orchestra (CR).

He has a career as music teacher in middle schools, he presented music  projects for children and he teaches saxophone in  private music schools.

In 2012 he graduated in three years of Political Science at the University of Pavia.
